Photo & Media Policy

How we use images and recordings of students

Effective date: January 1, 2025

When media may be captured

Vidyalaya occasionally takes screenshots or recordings during school events — such as annual day performances, cultural celebrations, or group activities — for use in school communications and this website.

Routine class sessions are not recorded by the school. Any recording of a class session requires prior written permission from the school coordinator.

How media is used

We do not sell or license student images. We do not publish images on public social media platforms unless a specific event page is set up with prior family notice.

Consent

By enrolling at Vidyalaya, families grant permission for the school to use photographs and video in which their child appears for the purposes described above.

If you prefer your child not appear in school media, please notify us in writing at enrollment or at any time:

info@vidyalaya.org

We will honor opt-out requests promptly and ensure your child is not included in future media. We will also remove existing images where practicable upon request.

Student-taken media

Students and families may not record class sessions, take screenshots of other students, or share images of classmates without the consent of those students' families. This applies during class and in any school-connected communication channel.
