Anti-Bullying Policy

Our commitment

Vidyalaya is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Bullying in any form — including online — is not tolerated and will be addressed promptly.

What is bullying

Bullying is repeated behavior intended to hurt, humiliate, or exclude another person. It includes:

• Verbal: name-calling, teasing, threatening, or mocking based on language, culture, appearance, or ability
• Social: deliberately excluding, spreading rumors, or turning others against a student
• Cyberbullying: hurtful messages, posts, or images sent through digital channels — including during class or in any school-connected communication

A single unkind act is not bullying, but it is still taken seriously and may be addressed under the Code of Conduct.

How to report

If your child has experienced or witnessed bullying, please contact us:

Reports can be made by the affected student, a parent, or a witness. Reports will be treated confidentially to the extent possible.

How we respond

• We will acknowledge the report and respond within two school days
• We will speak separately with all parties involved
• If bullying is confirmed, appropriate consequences will be applied — up to and including removal from the program for serious or repeated behavior
• We will follow up with the affected family to confirm the situation has been addressed

Retaliation

Retaliation against anyone who reports bullying is itself a serious violation of this policy and will be treated as such.
